How To Raise Your Light Level
NOTICE: In this article, and in the Destiny online community, 'Power level' is often referred to as "Light Level". Why you ask? Because that's what it was called in Destiny 1. So, if you ever hear (or read) Light Level, we are talking about Power Level. Now, onward! Your power level is found in the upper right of your "character" menu, here. There are two different kind of "levels" of power that you might see. Your "base" power level and your "seasonal" power level. Your base power level is an average of the power levels of all of your weapons and gear you have equipped. As shown just above my cursor in the image below. (Holding 'e' on PC shows the power level of you equipment like this.) Now, every season has a seasonal artifact that can give you extra bonus power levels as you level the artifact up.
